I’ve been writing in various guises for 40 years and have been married to the long-suffering Louise for almost as long.  We have three successful children who occasionally need to be reminded that their father is still more accomplished than they are.  I admit to being obsessive about Aston Villa, certain music, steak and ale pie and remote walking.  I also own a greetings card publishing company.

THANKS FOR VISITING MY

DON'T GET
EXCITED THOUGH,
THERE'S NOT MUCH TO IT!

In a nutshell, here’s a bit about me: I was born in Stratford on Avon and still live nearby, although for some years I lived in Australia and elsewhere while plying my trade in advertising agencies. I had the privilege to attend Shakespeare’s old school in the town but was impolitely asked to leave at 14 (by coincidence, the same age as the Bard himself). Like Will, I went away to find fame and fortune – but unlike Will, I returned without having become the most famous writer in world history.

The is time ...possibly
